The ancient ruins of what used to be a great city. Located just outside of Colema, the town next to Lyreade. People say that it is haunted by the ghosts that were murdered and slaughtered at the fall of this city.
Bryn stood next to the collapsed temple, tense, wand at the ready in case anything attacked her. Ruma was dangerous, and many students had died for mysterious reasons here.
Bryn looked at Shiina, then waved her wand. There was a weird, billowing sound, and a circle of white light, then silence. Wide-eyed, she looked at Shiina. "I didn't know I could do that." She had wanted to be protected and have nothing interrupt them, but she didn't know it would actually work.
Bryn nodded and led the way to the deepest part of the temple. There, she let Shiina lean backwards onto the wall. As Shiina slid down, Bryn saw a little outline above her head. She leaned forward and peered at it. She brushed away the soil and dust. It appeared to be a symbol, a ring encircling an alpha, an eye, a line, and a little whirlwind. "What is that?"
Bryn muttered an apology at Shinna for the dust in her hair, and leant forward to inspect the symbol more clearly. "It seems to be a ring with a greek alpha, the eye of Horus the egyptian god, a line, and a miniature whirlwind or tornado of some sort."
Bryn nodded. "I bet there's information on this in the library," she told her companion. She was silent for a while, then an idea struck her. "You remember how Farwill gave us each restricted section passes? And how she said she thought that we'd need it later on? What if she knew we would have to look for a book there? What if she knew this was going to happen?"
Bryn nodded agreement. "Let's get out of here." She was about to say something before she noticed something else. "Shiina, move away for a second." There was a unnatural line leading from the symbol. Bryn traced it with her finger, pressing into the wall, when suddenly the wall gave away and her finger sank into the wall. Frowning, she dug a little more. Impatient, Bryn waved her wand and a small hole in the wall appeared. "Huh. Never expected that. Why didn't it give way under Shiina's weight?" Bryn muttered to herself. She put her hand inside, and found a strange little platform inside the hole. She gave it a experimental pull, and she felt it move. She pulled harder, and suddenly, the ground beneath her began to move. The floor opened up, and Bryn and Shiina, with squeaks of surprise, tumbled into the hole. (you make them go into the chamber/cavern thing)
"Sorry," Bryn apologized, hastily getting off her. She looked up, and saw a door. In the middle was the symbol again. At the top of the entrance was the Nordic rune "Thurlaaz", meaning gateway. "Gateway," Bryn murmured under her breath, and walked through the door.
Shiina followed suit, looking at all of the old stone structure. "Bryn," she said. "All of these structures look very old, as if they were built centuries ago. Do you think that means something?"
Bryn nodded. "Definitely. This was built one or two millennium ago. It only looks centuries old because of the magic on it, I'd guess." Bryn walked forward, tracing the different runes on the walls. She muttered them aloud as she touched them: "Gebo, partnership. Nauthiz, constraint. Hagalz, disruption. Dagaz, awakening. Uruz, strength. Nied, trouble. Eihwaz, endings. Wyrd, fate..." Bryn looked at Shiina. "Do you think that these runes tell us why this thing is here?"
Bryn conjured a piece of parchment from thin air. "I'd better write these down." She copied down the runes and their meanings, then looked at the large doorway with the rune 'Thurlaaz' on the top of the entranceway again. "I suppose we go in here," she shrugged, then walked through the door. there, in the center of the wall they were facing, was a huge version of the symbol carved in the wall. There were two candles, burning dimly, at the two sides of it, and there were five circles, each spaced evenly from each other, on the floor of the cavern. At the center of the five circles was one word, carved deeply into the ground: ULTIONEM Bryn, who was very fond of the subject of runes and symbols, including ancient languages, knew immediately what it meant. "It's latin," she croaked. "It means... it means vengeance. Revenge."
Shiina stood outside the room, still mesmerized by the charismatic runes. (LOL jk there not charismatic). Her eyes were spirals and she felt light-headed. She heard Bryn whisper something, but she couldn't hear her.

Bryn looked around and saw Shiina still staring at the runes. She sighed, walked forward, and half-yanked, half-dragged her into the cavern. She pointed to the word in the middle of the five circles. "Look. It's latin for vengeance, or revenge."
Shiina stared, her vision focusing. But just before she could read it, the world went blurry again. So she just decided to go along with it. "But...but... what does it mean? Revenge on what? On who? FROM who?" she said, her voice wavering.
Bryn heard the quaver in Shiina's voice. She stopped staring at her notebook and looked at Shiina. "Shiina! Focus! You're spacing out! Are you okay?" She said harshly, trying to snap her out of her trance.
Bryn frowned. "What voices?" She asked, looking at Shiina curiously. She saw her in a trance, and her pupils were dilating and enlarging. Bryn suddenly knew she had to get both of them out quickly. She sketched out the room and symbol onto the parchment, folded it and put it in her robes. She grabbed Shiina's arm and apparated out into the school gates, where she charged into the Courtyard.
Daniel stood with his wife next to Kasumi and her husband. "Where is that professor?" He growled angrily. Just then, Krumiage came stomping along. "Kumataka knows. Your daughter told him," he snarled at Kasumi, who glared at her husband. "Told you we had to kill her."
Tsutoko shrugged. "It'll all be over soon, anyways," he said. "Only a few more days....." Next to him, Fallera snorted. "Yeah, right," she said. "But it feels like a few WEEKS. Jeez, are we gonna get on with this prophecy or what?"
Daniel gave the rest of them a glare. The alchemist crossed his arms, giving every one of them a look. "Friends, Fallera is right. We need to get our revenge plan moving. But first, we need to consider the state of our progress. Krumiage, state your report." Kasumi turned and looked at Krumiage expectantly with her red eyes.
Krumiage shrugged. "All is well," he said calmly, gray eyes showing no emotion. (LIKE KANAME) "I've check all entrances and barriers of the school and weakened them as much as I could without anyone noticing. Which was quite a lot..." Fallera snorted. "Arrogant idiot."
Kasumi raised an eyebrow. "What about the two girls, and Farwill? Bryn, Shiina?" Daniel put a hand on his wife's shoulder to calm her down and waited for Krumiage to speak.
Krumiage shrugged. "They haven't been doing anything," he said. "But I've notice a significant change in their, ah, love lives." Tsutoko glared. "Great," he growled. "More nuisances."
Daniel smiled. "Good, good. We can use their... love interests against them." Kasumi nodded. "That is welcomed news," she said, nudging Tsukoto. "Think more, idiot," she scolded her husband.
Daniel shook his head quickly. "No, no. We need more information about them. The boys could be manipulated to help us..." he looked thoughtful. Kasumi smiled, nodding. "Exactly," she said, nudging her best friend (Fallera).
Fallera smirked. "I'll get Yamamoto," she said. "I can't wait to wipe that content smile off Selena's face." Tsukoto sighed. "We're going to do it like that?"
Daniel ignored Tsukoto and looked at Krumiage, narrowing his eyes. "Will you do that? Manipulate the boys. Tell them lies, use a couple spells." He kissed his wife's cheek. "Will you invent a couple spells for that, dear?" Kasumi sat back, crossing her arms. "I'll secure this area. I know that Bryn and Shiina know about here." She stood up. "Come on, Koto," she pulled her husband up as well.
Kasumi dragged Tsukoto out of the cavern in the collapsed temple and pulled out her ash and dragon blood wand. "Hm... muffliato, repello muggletum..." Kasumi muttered under her breath, waving her wand as she walked in circles around the temple. Daniel nodded. "Right, let's get to work. Krumiage, pay attention, because you'll be using these. Fallera, what about 'pareria'? Because 'parere' means 'obey' in Latin."
Tsukoto walked in the opposite direction, casting the same spells. He looked around for any more empty spaces. The woman nodded. "That'll do," she said, turning to her husband to try it out. "Parere," she said, pointing her wand at him, making him gulp air stupidly.
Kasumi added more wizard-repelling spells, blinding spells, and frightening spells, and then bumped into Tsukoto. She gave him a little smile. "Okay. That's good. We can go back now." Daniel fought away the spell and coughed a little. "Can you make it hard to fight back? Because I know that the Damien boy is pretty talented with spells."
Kasumi's husband nodded as they both walked back to join the others. Fallera thought for a moment. "Pareria fortis," she said this time, shooting it at Tsukoto, who was walking back with Kasumi. He suddenly grabbed his wife and kissed her full on the lips. Fallera smirked.
Kasumi's eyes widened and the thirty-seven year old woman tried to force the man off her, but he was too strong and she didn't want to hurt him by putting a spell on him. Out of the corner of her eye she spotted Fallera grinning evilly and glared at her friend out of the corner of her eye. Daniel laughed a little and put his arm around his wife's waist.
Fallera smiled as she broke the spell. "That's alright, right?" she said, looking up at her husband. Tsukoto pulled away from Kasumi. "W-what the hell are you doing?"
Daniel nodded, planting a kiss on his wife's nose. "Beautiful, dear," he whispered, and guided her back to Krumiage. "Did you learn, professor?" He asked the man. "What do you mean what the hell am I doing? You kissed me first! Fallera made you!" Kasumi snapped angrily at him.
Krumiage nodded mutely, and practiced silently on Kasumi this time, who's eyes widened and she tackled Tsukoto to the floor and started to, ah, make out with him. Daniel's eyes widened and then he started laughing so hard that he fell over.
Krumiage flicked his wand again and Kasumi quite forcefully pulled Tsukoto back up and punched his stomach. Daniel winced. He had been punched like that by Kasumi, and it really, really hurt.
Tsukoto stumbled backwards as he was hit. "Geez...." he said as he walked back, not effected by the blow much. "Gosh," he said to Krumiage. "Did you really have to do that?"
Krumiage gave him one of his tiny smiles and suddenly Kasumi was shooting a spell at Tsukoto, one that made him extremely ticklish. He flicked his wand again, and released Kasumi from his hold. She looked horrified, and Krumiage smiled at her. "Yes, I did."
Daniel looked thoughtful. "I think we should try a spell that would penetrate the Lyreade Grounds. That would be very hard- Knapp is an extremely powerful witch. Currently, Krumiage is the only one that can go into Lyreade- it would be helpful if we could get in without Krumiage's help."
Daniel nodded. "It sounds fine. Try making sure it can escape and get past all types of barriers," he told Fallera. "I'll think of some more manipulation spells." Kasumi piped up, "What about a spell that makes somebody see something that isn't there? Or here something?"
Fallera nodded. "Like a hallucination? I can do that. How about just 'hallucinatio?" Tsukoto nodded. "That'll work," he said. "Were will we get in from?"
Daniel nodded. "That's a good idea, Kasumi. Okay, is that all?" Kasumi looked at her husband. "We'll be able to get in from anywhere if the spell works," she told him.

Kasumi nodded agreement and so did Daniel. Krumiage stood up. "I had better leave before it gets suspicious," he said, and promptly disappeared. Daniel looked at his wife and back to the rest of the group. "We'll meet here tomorrow morning at 7am, then head out together at 7:30am. We'll need to have a plan. I have one already; I'll tell you guys tomorrow. See ya!" He grabbed Fallera's hand and twisted away. Kasumi looked at Tsutoko. "We should get going, no?"
Fallera smiled with joy. "Yay!" she said, hugging Daniel as they left. Tsutoko nodded. "Let's go," he said, and took her arm. They were whisked off....
Kasumi appeared with her husband, and a couple minutes later Daniel appeared with Fallera. "The time has come... to infiltrate Lyreade." Daniel smirked. "Remember, guys, that this is't to kill the people in Lyreade, it's to find information, and nothing else. No hurting people, unless it's absolutely necessary," Kasumi warned the group.
Fallera was smiling. "I can't wait!" she said to Kasumi. "I hope Yamamoto does act against me though, so at least I can hurt him..." Tsutoko sighed. "Krumiage is in the school, right?" he asked. "We should head out soon..."
Kasumi frowned. "No, don't," she told her friend. "We need to be as inconspicuous as possible." Daniel nodded. "Yes." He stood up. "Everybody, be ready to cast the spell." He quickly muttered a spell and they were floating slightly above the ground, so they could move more quietly. This was a spell Fallera made as well.
Fallera sighed. "Fine," she said. "But when the time comes, I get to kill him, OK?" Tsutoko sighed as they moved to the school. "Right," he said. "So who goes where?"
Kasumi paused, then nodded. "And I will get rid of Farwill. That undeserving, hag of a seer." Daniel looked at everyone and took out a tiny stack of papers. "Okay, I'll take the north side, Tsutoko the east, Kasumi the west, and Fallera the south. We'll meet up at the center, which is the Infirmary. Here are your personal blueprints for the school..." Daniel handed out small blueprints of Lyreade for the three people and kept one for himself. "We'll go to our positions, that I marked in the blueprints, and when I send my patronus to tell you to go, infiltrate." He put his map in his pocket and took out his wand. "Remember, we want stealth and information, not killing and murder."
Tsutoko nodded. "Well, I'll be going then," he said. He bent down and kissed Kasumi on her left cheek. "See ya," he said, walking off and sticking out a hand in farewell. Fallera looked at Daniel. "Stay safe," she said. "I want you to be there for our triumph when this is over." (i still dont rly get what theyre doing....)

Kasumi blushed slightly and waved back a little. Daniel pulled her in for a short kiss and waved her off. "I'll see you in the center." He looked at Kasumi. "This is the west side, so just stay here." He turned and set off towards the north side. It was the entrance, the scariest and most dangerous place. Daniel stood near the edge of the forest, completely still, not making a single movement or sound. Kasumi stayed where she was, transforming herself into a crow to disguise herself as she waited for everyone else.
Fallera started to move towards her position, but turned around. "Bye, Kasumi," she whispered before disappearing off into the distance, becoming invisible. Tsutoko was already at his place, disguised as a small black cat. Though it went against his animagus nature, it was a better disguise than is normal dog.
Daniel thought, Expecto patronum, and a silver shark appeared before him. He directed it towards Tsukoto, Fallera, and Kasumi. When it reached them, it said at the same time, "Meet you at the center." Kasumi nodded at it and pecked her beak at it; it disappeared. She flew forward and towards Lyreade.
Tsukoto swiftly ran forward, loving the feel of the wind through his fur. He was almost at the castle.... Fallera walked towards the towering structure, smirking. "I can't wait for the day that this place will be in ruins," she thought.
Daniel narrowed his eyes and downed a potion, becoming a rat. He sighed. Not his favorite, obviously, but the best in this situation. Racing forward, he climbed easily up the wall, cast the spell Fallera made, and concentrated on it as he ran through the border. Kasumi flew quickly through the barrier, squawking the spell as she held the wand in her talons. She made the wand disappear and then swooped through the window.
Fallera walked into the building, smiling she looked around. "Hasn't changed much," she thought. "But still, we need to look around..." She padded up to a statue and looked at it. "Hm...." Tsukoto padded through the trees, and then walked into the building, turning himself into a small black kitten, blending in with the back wall.
Daniel stared at a painting on the wall and studied it for a while. He smiled slightly. It was a secret passage (that some people would know of, of course). But still, it was a good idea to tell the others about it. Kasumi passed by her daughter and her friend, the daughter of Fallera, as she turned into a little black cockroach. It would be a good idea to... She quickly cast a spell on Shiina, who suddenly had a "wizard bug" on her.
Shiina was chatting with Bryn. "So," she said. "How do you think our poster's going? I think we still need to add a lot more info...." Tsutoko smirked as well as a kitten could as he passed by Knapp. He stopped in his tracks, turning back to look at the headmaster with large and innocent eyes.
Bryn shrugged. "Hm. Yeah, I agree. We probably need more visuals, too. It's only wednesday, so I think we're already doing pretty well. Still, we should still do research." Close behind them, Damien was walking with Devin. The Eagletalon was staring at Shiina's long locks of black hair longingly, ignoring Devin rolling his eyes. Knapp gave Tsutoko a look, and picked him up, narrowing her eyes. Why was there a kitten in the school? She supposed it was okay, but she should still... Knapp gave it a bugging spell and placed it back on the ground, turning and marching away.
Shiina nodded. "You wanna head for the library? We have free period now, anyways." Devin sighed. "Dude, stop staring. You look like a retarded toad." He punched his friend lightly on the arm. Tsutoko mewed for a moment, then rushed away, running through the grounds and acting like a normal kitten.
Damien returned the punch. "It's not like you don't stare at Bryn in the same way, pedophile," he smirked. Kasumi smiled as she heard Shiina. She'd have to keep tabs on that girl. She cast the same spell on Devin and Damien; it would be easier for Krumiage to manipulate the two afterwards.
Devin sighed. "Whatever," he said. "I'm just not used to you looking like that all the time, creeper." Shiina and Bryn padded away, still conversing on their project. Tsutoko rambled through the castle, looking like a lost kitten, until John Smith scooped him up, heading in the opposite direction from Shiina and Bryn. "Hello, ladies," he said as he walked up to them, stroking the kitten.
Damien raised an eyebrow. "Well, should I be used to you and Bryn? You only flirt. You've never been so obsessed with somebody- much less be in a relationship." Bryn narrowed her eyes at Smith. "Who's that kitten?" She had the feeling something was wrong with the kitten. She exchanged glances with Shiina.
Devin shrugged. "I didn't say you weren't used to us. But who cares. What do you want to do?" Shiina narrowed her eyes, but shrugged. Smith grinned, rubbing the tiny figure between its ears. "It was wandering around the castle," he said.
Damien shrugged. "Dunno. We've got another 45 minutes of free period so... Potions next. You wanna study for the assessment on thursday? It's 10% of our grade this semester." Bryn growled, exercising her death glare on Smith, holding out her palm. "Give." This kitten was a little too suspicious... Kasumi cursed as she heard her husband being taken into custody. She didn't know whether they'd be found out... she quickly sent a message to Fallera and Daniel about it.
Devin died on the inside. "OK," he said. "But my grades'll still suck anyways." Fallera clenched her teeth. Idiot! He had to get himself caught! Smith stepped backwards. "It's just an innocent kitten!" he protested, shielding it away from Bryn's grasp.
Damien gave him a look. "I'll help, okay? If you really study and like what you do or how you do it you'll get as good grades as me." Daniel hissed under his breath. Imbecile... Bryn growled threateningly. "Give." Just then, Krumiage, who had gotten the message, walked by and stopped when he saw the kitten. "Professor Smith, if I may ask, where did you get that kitten? I'm sure he's not your familiar."
Devin shook his head. "Impossible!" he said. "That....it's impossible...." Smith looked up at the other professor. "Oh, hello Professor Krumiage," he said. "I found this kitten wandering around the castle, it seemed lost...."
Damien sighed. "Nothing's impossible, Devin, I've told you that at least twice already. Now come ON!" He grabbed Devin and dragged him away (LOL). Krumiage narrowed his eyes. "Well, if you must know, that kitten counts as a trespasser and must be taken to Professor Knapp. So please, Professor." He held out his arm like Bryn, who glared at Krumiage.
Smith sighed. "It was such a good cat..." he muttered, handing it over. "Well, I should get going," he said, walking away, murmuring quietly about unicorns. Shiina looked at the professor with cold, hard eyes. "What are you doing?" she asked icily.
Krumiage looked at Shiina. "Miss Natsumoto, I'm truly offended. Sure, I might not be who most think I am, but i still play my role as deputy Headmaster because I honestly think that Knapp needs me to help me. Now, I'll be off." He turned and walked toward Knapp's office. When out of view, he disappeared and appeared on the other side of the school. "You'd better not get caught again," Krumiage warned his friend, and disappeared.
Tsutoko raced around and wondered what to do now. "I need to get rid of this bug...." he thought, clenching his teeth. Shiina clenched her teeth together. "Idiot teacher," she said, punching a wall. A small crack appeared in it.
Kasumi shot a message into Tsutoko. "We'll get Fallera to do it. Right, Daniel?" "I'm sure Fallera'll remove it." Daniel raced towards the center. "We need to meet in the center NOW. Our situation might have been compromised. Come on." Bryn sighed and repaired the wall and calmed Shiina down with a spell. "Library, remember? Let's go."
Fallera nodded, realizing that the others couldn't see it. "Let's get going," she said, rushing on, not making a sound. Tsutoko started running as well. "Damn headmistress," he thought. Shiina nodded. "Yeah," she said. "L'go."
Kasumi rolled her eyes and shot her husband a message. "It's your fault, not Knapp's. You know there won't be many kittens in school." She turned into a dark brown falcon, blending into her surroundings as she made her way to the Infirmary. Daniel snorted, hearing it, and skidded to a stop under a bed, climbing up the wall.
Tsutoko bared his teeth at nothing. "Well, I'm only good with animals," he hissed, racing forward. Fallera raced through the castle, making sure that she was intangible. "Good," she thought as she passed a classroom. "I'm almost there!"
Mapps looked up at the sound of swishing robes, but shrugged it off and continued teaching. Kasumi sighed telepathically (...). "You should have become a more inconspicuous animal or something then." she shot back, transforming back into herself in the middle of the infirmary. Daniel rolled his eyes at Kasumi and Tsutoko, changing into himself in the infirmary as well. "Stop fighting, guys," the alchemist scolded through thought, even if Kasumi was right beside him.
Tsutoko appeared next to her, mewling. He didn't want to give himself away, as the bugging spell was still on him. Fallera arrived, crouching down next to the small kitten. "Dimitte," she thought, and waved her wand. The spell was lifted, and the cat swiftly shifted back into a human. "Well," Tsutoko said, padding over to stand next to Kasumi. "What now?"
Kasumi planted a little kiss on her husband's lips and looked at the others. "We need to either make another plan to keep on searching the area and risk being found out or evacuate the castle back to Ruma or the Natsumoto base," Daniel stated, his arm around Fallera's waist.
Fallera nodded. "We can't just walk around like that," she said. "Look what happened to this guy..." She glanced sideways at Tsutoko. Tsutoko backed up. "Well, sorry!" he said.
Kasumi snorted and elbowed him in the gut, crossing her arms. "Well, Daniel, what do you suggest?" He had been the one who coordinated the mission. "We keep going, I think, but we can't split up again. We'll go in pairs and roam the school. Stay unseen at all costs." Daniel instructed, turning himself back into the cockroach. In thought-speak, which they had acquired with each other when they made the pact, he added, "We'll use this to communicate."
Fallera nodded. "I'll go with Kasumi," she said, looking at Daniel. "Sorry," she mouthed. Tsutoko shrugged. "Let's go, Daniel!" he said, changing into a lady bug and scuttling away with his friend. (roflmao)
Daniel did a little cockroach shrug at his wife (ROFLCOPTER) and ran away with Tsutoko. "Wait up, dude!" He thought hastily after his friend. Kasumi changed into her black crow that had successfully gotten past everybody and perched atop a curtain.
Fallera sighed and changed into a small sparrow, only about one inch tall, and stood on the windowsill of the infirmary. (awww....) Tsutoko looked behind his shoulder the best a lady bug could. "It's not my fault you're so slow," he said. "Let's fly!"
Kasumi looked at Fallera and flew down next to her. |You ready?| She sent her via thoughtspeak. |Let's take the south side.| Daniel sighed and fluttered his glossy cockroach wings and flew ahead of Tsutoko. |Our wives are taking the south. We'll take the north. Let's go!|
Fallera nodded. |Let's go!| She flew towards the side of the castle, the wind ruffling her feathers. Tsutoko flapped his small, dotted wings, zooming across the sky. :D
Kasumi soared out of the infirmary after her, finally stopping outisde a classroom. She called Fallera over and the two went around then perched on the windowsill, Kasumi transforming into a moth as to not be seen. Daniel landed on the ceiling of Professor Yamamoto's office, trying to read his work and listening to him talk.
Fallera changed into a smaller sparrow, only about one centimeter high. Thinking that that was slightly odd, she changed into a dwarf bird, inching farther away from Kasumi so that they didn't look suspicious. Yamamoto was muttering to himself. "Great," he grunted. "Only ten more pages to go..." Tsutoko smirked inwardly. |That's what you get for being a teacher at this dammed school!|
Kasumi watched Farwill talk about elemental charms as Kasumi growled in distaste. Farwill, that little excuse for a seer. What a pity, a talented one, gone to waste. Daniel laughed silently and fluttered onto Yamamoto's desk, staring up at him as he blended into the desk without moving.

Fallera looked over at Kasumi, who was shaking slightly with rage. |Stop it,| she thought. |She'll think there's something up.| Yamamoto rubbed his eyes, looking up. He sighed, then picked up his quill and went back to work.
Kasumi shot her friend an angrily look but obliged, smoothing her antennae and changing into a little tiny bird like Fallera to distract herself. Daniel looked up at Tsutoko. |Come down here, change yourself,| he said, scuttling behind Yamamoto's box of tissues.
Fallera glared as much as a bird could. |Stupid woman,| she thought. |Always acting so high and mighty around us...| Tsutoko nodded. |What do we change into?| He asked, honestly not knowing.
Kasumi nodded in agreement, ruffling her feathers in annoyance. |Come on, let's get down there.| She transformed into a cricket, hopping down the wall and onto Farwill's desk leg. She hoped the children would not notice her. Daniel chuckled a bit and moved quickly onto Yamamoto's chair so he could transform into himself, cast a bugging spell and then quickly transform back.
Fallera agreed in her head. |Right,| she thought, changing into a small tick. Tsutoko jumped to the far end of the office and cast the spell as well. |Right,| he said. |Now what?|
Kasumi jumped on Farwill's shoulder, keeping herself so light that the professor couldn't feel or see her. She cast a bugging spell and hopped away onto the wall. |Let's try other classrooms.| Daniel saw Yamamoto narrow his eyes and look up, and quickly scuttled to a corner in the office, hiding himself.
Fallera looked away. |Right, let's go! There's still a lot more classrooms to go!| She leaped away, squeezing through the gap between the closed door and the floor. Yamamoto sighed. Sometimes he thought he hallucinated a lot. He rubbed his eyes again and resumed his work. Tsutoko smiled. |Great. Now...?|
Kasumi turned into a little black sparrow and flew after her friend. |Where now? Akai?| She kept pace with Fallera as they veered around a corner. Daniel thought to the others: |We're done with Yamamoto. You guys?| |We've done Farwill, on our way to... what?| Kasumi looked at Fallera sideways. |Well, we'll do Smith. Come on!| The alchemist looked at the animagus and fluttered off.
Fallera shrugged. |He hardly does anything, though. Let's go to Mapps first.| The tiny bird that was Fallera turned a corner towards the teacher's office. Tsutoko sighed. |Let's get going!|
|'Kay.| Kasumi shot after her and snorted at the thought of insects and birds suddenly filling the school as she landed on the door ledge outside of Mapp's office. Daniel zoomed away and finally found Smith's office at the very far end, nearest to the back gate.
Fallera looked over at her friend. |Well, let's get going!| She turned into an even smaller sparrow and flapped over to the window. Tsutoko smirked as well as a flea could. |Sleeping on the job?|
Kasumi zipped inside the professor's office and avoided the dark detector as she changed into a black newt and blended in to the ceiling, craning her head to look down at Mapps. Daniel laughed in his head. |Dude, you should see Yamamoto. He sleeps more in a day than a cat does in a week!|
Kasumi stayed a sparrow, sitting atop a bookshelf. |OK. Shall we?| She tried to smirk as she gazed down at the teacher, but her beak wouldn't let her. Tsutoko laughed bitterly as well. |Oh, so true,| he said as they both arrived at Smith's office. |Well...|

Kasumi moved quickly across and onto Mapps' chair, but the man suddenly sat up and looked around, scooting his chair back, sensing a presence. Kasumi made a little gecko squeak, and tried her best to hold on.
Kasumi shook her head. |He senses you too. Damn, I should have seen it coming!| She scooted away and dangled over his head. Mapps narrowed his eyes and pulled out his wand, looking around. "Where are you?" He hissed under his breath. |Gotten into trouble?| Daniel smirked from Tsutoko's side.
Fallera backed away as far as she could from the teacher, casting a spell to hide her and Kasumi’s presences. |Screw….| Next to Daniel, Tsutoko sighed. |Mapps is a hard one. Maybe we should have gone there instead...|
Bryn suddenly realized. "Shiina, stand still for a moment." She waved her wand, and there was a loud snap. The bugging spell disappeared. "Dammit, we were bugged!"
Damien shushed him. "Maybe they just wanted to... I don't know, look at the temples and stuff."
Bryn looked curious and interested. "That was a small arrow," she commented. "I wonder why they have one like that? It would never cause enough damage. It must be built for speed. A warning arrow, perhaps? Unless it had poison on it. Hm. We need to know." Bryn searched around and found the arrow lying three meters away. She examined it, and made a little white mouse taste the tip. It ran away. "Huh. It's a warning arrow. It knew it wouldn't hit us. That means they're accurate enough to do that."
Shiina narrowed her eyes and looked around. "There," she said after a little while, pointing to a corner in the ceiling. "That's where the arrow came from. I say we go check it out to see if there's anything there."
Bryn nodded and just simply cast a charm. "Okay, there are two people around us." She said this to Shiina quietly, but hopefully the girl still heard it.
"No." Bryn looked around. "I can only see that there are people there. My mother must have done something so that we can't see who they are. Which means it must be one of the five."
Shiina swore slightly under her breath. "Well," she said. "What can we do now? We don't know who they are yet, so if we get into a battle we'd be disadvantaged...."
Bryn kept her eyes on the little contraption which fired arrows at them. "Keep an eye around us," she whispered to Shiina, moving quietly to the other side of the little "room" and looked up at the spell-triggered crossbow and raised her wand to it. "Confringo," Bryn muttered, and the tiny contraption exploded in a ball of flame. There was a dull thump of a body falling and a scuffle on the ground. Bryn whipped around and growled "Furnunculus" at the spot where she heard the noise, and Daniel appeared, clutching at his boil-covered face.
Shiina narrowed her eyes as she looked at the man's face, wondering if any of the others were around. Her eyes quickly scanned around the room and she dodged another arrow. "Are you the only one here?" she asked, but of course, not expecting an answer from him. The man only smirked, and healed himself with a flick of his wand, standing up to his full height.
A spell shot through the air and hit Bryn in the shoulder, who frowned and shot a spell in that direction. Tsukoto matieralized, groaning, nursing his hurt arm and then healing it easily.
Shiina quickly rushed in Bryn's direction, shooting spells and throwing small, poisoned needles at the man. Hardly any of them hit, mostly because of his protective spells, but a few found their mark and he staggered.
Shiina's father used a spell Fallera had invented and healed the two of them instantly with a wave of his wand. "If he keeps doing that we'll never get out of here, goddammit!" Bryn growled, shooting a Full Body-Bind curse at Daniel, who smiled at her and deflected it easily.
Shiina narrowed her eyes as she quietly assessed the situation. (uhhh) "Do you have a spell that can make multiple copies of a person? If you do, I think I might have a plan, but I'm not sure if it'll work...."
"Well, there's the Geminio Curse but I'm not sure it works on people," Bryn answered back, just as quietly. "Excelsiosempra," she shot at Tsukoto, who uttered the only counterspell Accio right when it was about to hit him.
Shiina sighed. "We have to try," she said quietly. "Unless you have another plan that'll help us get information out of them or at least help us to escape/defeat them."
Bryn nodded, and flicked her wand at Shiina. A ghostly, translucent copy of the black-haired girl stepped out of her and stared blankly ahead of her. It flickered into and out of view. Bryn frowned. "Will that work?" She murmured to Shiina, using the Confundus Charm to to make the copy spin in a circle and open its mouth.
(Erm. It's been too long. I forgot what the plan was :|)
Shiina looked at the copy. "I guess," she said. "So...." The blue haired girl jumped up in the air so high that her head hit the ceiling and she crashed back down to the floor. "That was fun." Shiina proceeded to do the same move several more times. (<----- JK all of that, it was just for the sake of making this comment look long :D)
Bryn pointed her wand at the copy, who glowed for a bit before becoming a bit more solid and alike the real Shiina before zooming forward and charging at the Daniel who, in the dark, thought it was the actual Shiina and quickly threw up a shield. She ran right through it.
"It's like a ragdoll and unanimated, so we have to control them instead of letting them fight themselves," Bryn whispered as Shiina made a copy of the amber-eyed girl herself. The fake Bryn skipped in a circle before growing more opaque and running at Tsukoto.
Shiina nodded, aiming her wand at the copy of herself as it punched Daniel's face several times. Daniel was trying to block them, but the punches were coming to fast, and each one knocked the breath out of him. "Dammit!" he yelled, looking over at Tsukoto.
"Run!" Bryn screamed, and shot several curses at the evil parents as the copy of herself tackled Tsukoto. Shiina was right after her, sending a well-placed hex at Daniel. Bryn sprinted out of the temple safely, and when her companion emerged she performed a made-up spell: "Caudexis!" She roared, and Daniel slammed into an invisible wall, falling to the ground. Bryn grabbed Shiina's arm and twisted on the spot, apparating to Colema.
(Decided to might as well get them out of there...)
Daniel watched hopelessly as the two girls disappeared, his legs and arms bound to his body with strong string that cut through his flesh whenever he moved. Growling, he tried once again to break them, but with no success. "Fallera's not going to be happy," he grumbled.

Fallera slashed her wand through the air and Daniel's bonds disappeared. Tsukoto was healed and he stumbled against the wall. Kasumi was behind Fallera, glaring coldly at her husband. "You're an alchemist!" Fallera shrieked at Daniel. "And you're an animagus- no, you're a shapeshifter! Does that mean nothing?" Fallera turned on Tsukoto, amber eyes glowing with fury.

"Being a shapeshifter has nothing to do with my level of ability. Though, I'm surprised with their current magical powers. All we have to do now is defeat them with their weaknesses."

"What are they, exactly?" Fallera asked after a lengthy lull in the conversation, tightly because she was still frustrated. Kasumi rolled her eyes. "We don't even know our own goddamn children's weaknesses." "We need to find them out," Fallera decided. "Krumiage can finally be of some use again."
"Well, there's Shiina's Sight that will eventually kill her. Couldn't we use some kind of spell that makes her overuse her power?" Tsukoto remarked.
Daniel grunted. "And with Shiina gone, Bryn would go into a rage. You must know how overprotective she is of her friends, right? Her anger will blind her and hinder her actions. Heck, we could even take that boyfriend of hers as a hostage."
Fallera held up a finger, eyes bright. "Dan's right!" she exclaimed. "The boyfriend... didn't Shiina have someone, too? That's their weakness-- they care for each other, and we don't. No offense," she added with a smirk.
Kasumi raised a perfect dark eyebrow. "Well, we can't be too sure of ourselves," she said, folding her delicate hands. "Like you said, Krumiage could be of help in this situation."
[He should probably alchemise a headgear of sorts.]
"That's true," Kasumi conceded. "I suppose we should regroup and train up to our usual standards again," she added with a glare at the men.
Fallera nodded in agreement. "Checking in with Krumiage would probably be useful, though," she said. "After all, he does have almost all the inside information."
Tsukoto looked down in shame, his eyes downcast. Daniel grunted once more. "Tsukoto and I might need a little extra training," he admitted. "While we do that, Fallera and Kasumi can go find Krumiage."
"Or we could just send him a patronus," Fallera rolled her eyes, taking out her wand. "Expecto patronum," she said clearly, and a silver serpent erupted out of the end of her wand. "When he's alone, tell him to meet us at the Obsidian Wood," she instructed the snake. She turned to the others. "We need to change base; they know where our Ruma one is already."
Tsukoto nodded. "Let's move to the Obsidian Wood now. Bryn and Shiina might come back at any time." With those words, he promptly changed into an owl and flew with a powerful flap of his wings.
Daniel looked at his wife, kissing her cheek lightly. "Let's go, darling," he said, turning himself into a mouse and scampering off into the distance.
Bryn stood next to the collapsed temple, tense, wand at the ready in case anything attacked her. Ruma was dangerous, and many students had died for mysterious reasons here.

ReplyDeleteBryn looked at Shiina, then waved her wand. There was a weird, billowing sound, and a circle of white light, then silence. Wide-eyed, she looked at Shiina. "I didn't know I could do that." She had wanted to be protected and have nothing interrupt them, but she didn't know it would actually work.
ReplyDeleteShiina looked away, the sudden event confirming her suspicions, though she did not say anything. "Lets go," she said. "Into the temple."
ReplyDeleteBryn nodded and led the way to the deepest part of the temple. There, she let Shiina lean backwards onto the wall. As Shiina slid down, Bryn saw a little outline above her head. She leaned forward and peered at it. She brushed away the soil and dust. It appeared to be a symbol, a ring encircling an alpha, an eye, a line, and a little whirlwind. "What is that?"
ReplyDeleteShiina had dust on her hair. She studied the rune for a while. "I'm not sure," she said. "But it's surely a symbol of some kind.
ReplyDeleteBryn muttered an apology at Shinna for the dust in her hair, and leant forward to inspect the symbol more clearly. "It seems to be a ring with a greek alpha, the eye of Horus the egyptian god, a line, and a miniature whirlwind or tornado of some sort."
ReplyDeleteShiina thought about it for a second. "Do you think they might mean something? I'm not sure, but surely they have some kind of meaning."
ReplyDeleteBryn nodded. "I bet there's information on this in the library," she told her companion. She was silent for a while, then an idea struck her. "You remember how Farwill gave us each restricted section passes? And how she said she thought that we'd need it later on? What if she knew we would have to look for a book there? What if she knew this was going to happen?"
ReplyDeleteShiina looked away and narrowed her eyes. "Yes. There's no doubt that Farwill is a seer. We must confront her. But let's just go to the library now."
ReplyDeleteBryn nodded agreement. "Let's get out of here." She was about to say something before she noticed something else. "Shiina, move away for a second." There was a unnatural line leading from the symbol. Bryn traced it with her finger, pressing into the wall, when suddenly the wall gave away and her finger sank into the wall. Frowning, she dug a little more. Impatient, Bryn waved her wand and a small hole in the wall appeared. "Huh. Never expected that. Why didn't it give way under Shiina's weight?" Bryn muttered to herself. She put her hand inside, and found a strange little platform inside the hole. She gave it a experimental pull, and she felt it move. She pulled harder, and suddenly, the ground beneath her began to move. The floor opened up, and Bryn and Shiina, with squeaks of surprise, tumbled into the hole.

"Ouch." Shiina said dully. Unfortunately, Bryn had landed right on top of her.
ReplyDelete"Sorry," Bryn apologized, hastily getting off her. She looked up, and saw a door. In the middle was the symbol again. At the top of the entrance was the Nordic rune "Thurlaaz", meaning gateway. "Gateway," Bryn murmured under her breath, and walked through the door.
ReplyDeleteShiina followed suit, looking at all of the old stone structure. "Bryn," she said. "All of these structures look very old, as if they were built centuries ago. Do you think that means something?"
ReplyDeleteBryn nodded. "Definitely. This was built one or two millennium ago. It only looks centuries old because of the magic on it, I'd guess." Bryn walked forward, tracing the different runes on the walls. She muttered them aloud as she touched them: "Gebo, partnership. Nauthiz, constraint. Hagalz, disruption. Dagaz, awakening. Uruz, strength. Nied, trouble. Eihwaz, endings. Wyrd, fate..." Bryn looked at Shiina. "Do you think that these runes tell us why this thing is here?"

ReplyDeleteBryn conjured a piece of parchment from thin air. "I'd better write these down." She copied down the runes and their meanings, then looked at the large doorway with the rune 'Thurlaaz' on the top of the entranceway again. "I suppose we go in here," she shrugged, then walked through the door. there, in the center of the wall they were facing, was a huge version of the symbol carved in the wall. There were two candles, burning dimly, at the two sides of it, and there were five circles, each spaced evenly from each other, on the floor of the cavern. At the center of the five circles was one word, carved deeply into the ground:

Bryn, who was very fond of the subject of runes and symbols, including ancient languages, knew immediately what it meant. "It's latin," she croaked. "It means... it means vengeance. Revenge."
Shiina stood outside the room, still mesmerized by the charismatic runes. (LOL jk there not charismatic). Her eyes were spirals and she felt light-headed. She heard Bryn whisper something, but she couldn't hear her.

ReplyDeleteBryn looked around and saw Shiina still staring at the runes. She sighed, walked forward, and half-yanked, half-dragged her into the cavern. She pointed to the word in the middle of the five circles. "Look. It's latin for vengeance, or revenge."

ReplyDeleteShiina stared, her vision focusing. But just before she could read it, the world went blurry again. So she just decided to go along with it. "But...but... what does it mean? Revenge on what? On who? FROM who?" she said, her voice wavering.
Bryn heard the quaver in Shiina's voice. She stopped staring at her notebook and looked at Shiina. "Shiina! Focus! You're spacing out! Are you okay?" She said harshly, trying to snap her out of her trance.

ReplyDeleteShiina's vision was going in and out of focus, and she could hear strange voices in her head. "The voices...." she whispered.
Bryn frowned. "What voices?" She asked, looking at Shiina curiously. She saw her in a trance, and her pupils were dilating and enlarging. Bryn suddenly knew she had to get both of them out quickly. She sketched out the room and symbol onto the parchment, folded it and put it in her robes. She grabbed Shiina's arm and apparated out into the school gates, where she charged into the Courtyard.
ReplyDeleteDaniel stood with his wife next to Kasumi and her husband. "Where is that professor?" He growled angrily. Just then, Krumiage came stomping along. "Kumataka knows. Your daughter told him," he snarled at Kasumi, who glared at her husband. "Told you we had to kill her."
ReplyDeleteTsutoko shrugged. "It'll all be over soon, anyways," he said. "Only a few more days....." Next to him, Fallera snorted. "Yeah, right," she said. "But it feels like a few WEEKS. Jeez, are we gonna get on with this prophecy or what?"
ReplyDeleteDaniel gave the rest of them a glare. The alchemist crossed his arms, giving every one of them a look. "Friends, Fallera is right. We need to get our revenge plan moving. But first, we need to consider the state of our progress. Krumiage, state your report." Kasumi turned and looked at Krumiage expectantly with her red eyes.
ReplyDeleteKrumiage shrugged. "All is well," he said calmly, gray eyes showing no emotion. (LIKE KANAME) "I've check all entrances and barriers of the school and weakened them as much as I could without anyone noticing. Which was quite a lot..."

Kasumi raised an eyebrow. "What about the two girls, and Farwill? Bryn, Shiina?"
ReplyDeleteDaniel put a hand on his wife's shoulder to calm her down and waited for Krumiage to speak.
Krumiage shrugged. "They haven't been doing anything," he said. "But I've notice a significant change in their, ah, love lives."
ReplyDeleteTsutoko glared. "Great," he growled. "More nuisances."
Daniel smiled. "Good, good. We can use their... love interests against them." Kasumi nodded. "That is welcomed news," she said, nudging Tsukoto. "Think more, idiot," she scolded her husband.

ReplyDeleteFallera was immediately excited. "Right!" she said. "Let's make a plan! We'll, erm, kidnap the males."
Daniel shook his head quickly. "No, no. We need more information about them. The boys could be manipulated to help us..." he looked thoughtful. Kasumi smiled, nodding. "Exactly," she said, nudging her best friend (Fallera).

Daniel ignored Tsukoto and looked at Krumiage, narrowing his eyes. "Will you do that? Manipulate the boys. Tell them lies, use a couple spells." He kissed his wife's cheek. "Will you invent a couple spells for that, dear?"
ReplyDeleteKasumi sat back, crossing her arms. "I'll secure this area. I know that Bryn and Shiina know about here." She stood up. "Come on, Koto," she pulled her husband up as well.
Shiina's father sighed. "Right," he said. "Let's get to work."
ReplyDeleteFallera punched her husband back. "Of course," she said. "I can't wait!"
Kasumi dragged Tsukoto out of the cavern in the collapsed temple and pulled out her ash and dragon blood wand. "Hm... muffliato, repello muggletum..." Kasumi muttered under her breath, waving her wand as she walked in circles around the temple.
ReplyDeleteDaniel nodded. "Right, let's get to work. Krumiage, pay attention, because you'll be using these. Fallera, what about 'pareria'? Because 'parere' means 'obey' in Latin."
Tsukoto walked in the opposite direction, casting the same spells. He looked around for any more empty spaces.
ReplyDeleteThe woman nodded. "That'll do," she said, turning to her husband to try it out. "Parere," she said, pointing her wand at him, making him gulp air stupidly.

ReplyDeleteKasumi added more wizard-repelling spells, blinding spells, and frightening spells, and then bumped into Tsukoto. She gave him a little smile. "Okay. That's good. We can go back now."
Daniel fought away the spell and coughed a little. "Can you make it hard to fight back? Because I know that the Damien boy is pretty talented with spells."

Fallera thought for a moment. "Pareria fortis," she said this time, shooting it at Tsukoto, who was walking back with Kasumi. He suddenly grabbed his wife and kissed her full on the lips. Fallera smirked.

ReplyDeleteKasumi's eyes widened and the thirty-seven year old woman tried to force the man off her, but he was too strong and she didn't want to hurt him by putting a spell on him. Out of the corner of her eye she spotted Fallera grinning evilly and glared at her friend out of the corner of her eye. Daniel laughed a little and put his arm around his wife's waist.
Fallera smiled as she broke the spell. "That's alright, right?" she said, looking up at her husband.

Daniel nodded, planting a kiss on his wife's nose. "Beautiful, dear," he whispered, and guided her back to Krumiage. "Did you learn, professor?" He asked the man.

Fallera glanced at the professor, clinging onto her husband's arm.
ReplyDeleteTsukoto sighed. "Whatever," he said. "So when will we launch this plan?"
Krumiage nodded mutely, and practiced silently on Kasumi this time, who's eyes widened and she tackled Tsukoto to the floor and started to, ah, make out with him. Daniel's eyes widened and then he started laughing so hard that he fell over.

ReplyDeleteFallera couldn't help but let out a small pffft of laughter as she watched her friend.
Krumiage flicked his wand again and Kasumi quite forcefully pulled Tsukoto back up and punched his stomach. Daniel winced. He had been punched like that by Kasumi, and it really, really hurt.
ReplyDeleteTsukoto stumbled backwards as he was hit. "Geez...." he said as he walked back, not effected by the blow much. "Gosh," he said to Krumiage. "Did you really have to do that?"
ReplyDeleteKrumiage gave him one of his tiny smiles and suddenly Kasumi was shooting a spell at Tsukoto, one that made him extremely ticklish. He flicked his wand again, and released Kasumi from his hold. She looked horrified, and Krumiage smiled at her. "Yes, I did."
ReplyDeleteFallera sighed. "That's enough," she said, sparing Tsukoto's embarrassment. (I think) "You've obviously grasped the concept. OK, what comes next?"
ReplyDeleteDaniel looked thoughtful. "I think we should try a spell that would penetrate the Lyreade Grounds. That would be very hard- Knapp is an extremely powerful witch. Currently, Krumiage is the only one that can go into Lyreade- it would be helpful if we could get in without Krumiage's help."
ReplyDeleteFallera nodded. "Hm...." she said. "Basically, all we need is a powerful, yet undetectable spell. How about invisiti?"

Daniel nodded. "It sounds fine. Try making sure it can escape and get past all types of barriers," he told Fallera. "I'll think of some more manipulation spells."

ReplyDeleteKasumi nodded agreement and so did Daniel. Krumiage stood up. "I had better leave before it gets suspicious," he said, and promptly disappeared. Daniel looked at his wife and back to the rest of the group. "We'll meet here tomorrow morning at 7am, then head out together at 7:30am. We'll need to have a plan. I have one already; I'll tell you guys tomorrow. See ya!" He grabbed Fallera's hand and twisted away. Kasumi looked at Tsutoko. "We should get going, no?"

Kasumi appeared with her husband, and a couple minutes later Daniel appeared with Fallera. "The time has come... to infiltrate Lyreade." Daniel smirked.
ReplyDelete"Remember, guys, that this is't to kill the people in Lyreade, it's to find information, and nothing else. No hurting people, unless it's absolutely necessary," Kasumi warned the group.
Fallera was smiling. "I can't wait!" she said to Kasumi. "I hope Yamamoto does act against me though, so at least I can hurt him..."
ReplyDeleteTsutoko sighed. "Krumiage is in the school, right?" he asked. "We should head out soon..."
Kasumi frowned. "No, don't," she told her friend. "We need to be as inconspicuous as possible." Daniel nodded. "Yes." He stood up. "Everybody, be ready to cast the spell." He quickly muttered a spell and they were floating slightly above the ground, so they could move more quietly. This was a spell Fallera made as well.

ReplyDeleteTsutoko sighed as they moved to the school. "Right," he said. "So who goes where?"
Kasumi paused, then nodded. "And I will get rid of Farwill. That undeserving, hag of a seer."
ReplyDeleteDaniel looked at everyone and took out a tiny stack of papers. "Okay, I'll take the north side, Tsutoko the east, Kasumi the west, and Fallera the south. We'll meet up at the center, which is the Infirmary. Here are your personal blueprints for the school..." Daniel handed out small blueprints of Lyreade for the three people and kept one for himself. "We'll go to our positions, that I marked in the blueprints, and when I send my patronus to tell you to go, infiltrate." He put his map in his pocket and took out his wand. "Remember, we want stealth and information, not killing and murder."
Tsutoko nodded. "Well, I'll be going then," he said. He bent down and kissed Kasumi on her left cheek. "See ya," he said, walking off and sticking out a hand in farewell.

ReplyDeleteKasumi blushed slightly and waved back a little. Daniel pulled her in for a short kiss and waved her off. "I'll see you in the center." He looked at Kasumi. "This is the west side, so just stay here." He turned and set off towards the north side. It was the entrance, the scariest and most dangerous place. Daniel stood near the edge of the forest, completely still, not making a single movement or sound.
Kasumi stayed where she was, transforming herself into a crow to disguise herself as she waited for everyone else.

ReplyDeleteFallera started to move towards her position, but turned around. "Bye, Kasumi," she whispered before disappearing off into the distance, becoming invisible.
Tsutoko was already at his place, disguised as a small black cat. Though it went against his animagus nature, it was a better disguise than is normal dog.
Daniel thought, Expecto patronum, and a silver shark appeared before him. He directed it towards Tsukoto, Fallera, and Kasumi. When it reached them, it said at the same time, "Meet you at the center."
ReplyDeleteKasumi nodded at it and pecked her beak at it; it disappeared. She flew forward and towards Lyreade.
Tsukoto swiftly ran forward, loving the feel of the wind through his fur. He was almost at the castle....
ReplyDeleteFallera walked towards the towering structure, smirking. "I can't wait for the day that this place will be in ruins," she thought.
Daniel narrowed his eyes and downed a potion, becoming a rat. He sighed. Not his favorite, obviously, but the best in this situation. Racing forward, he climbed easily up the wall, cast the spell Fallera made, and concentrated on it as he ran through the border.
ReplyDeleteKasumi flew quickly through the barrier, squawking the spell as she held the wand in her talons. She made the wand disappear and then swooped through the window.
Fallera walked into the building, smiling she looked around. "Hasn't changed much," she thought. "But still, we need to look around..." She padded up to a statue and looked at it. "Hm...."
ReplyDeleteTsukoto padded through the trees, and then walked into the building, turning himself into a small black kitten, blending in with the back wall.
Daniel stared at a painting on the wall and studied it for a while. He smiled slightly. It was a secret passage (that some people would know of, of course). But still, it was a good idea to tell the others about it.
ReplyDeleteKasumi passed by her daughter and her friend, the daughter of Fallera, as she turned into a little black cockroach. It would be a good idea to... She quickly cast a spell on Shiina, who suddenly had a "wizard bug" on her.
Shiina was chatting with Bryn. "So," she said. "How do you think our poster's going? I think we still need to add a lot more info...."
ReplyDeleteTsutoko smirked as well as a kitten could as he passed by Knapp. He stopped in his tracks, turning back to look at the headmaster with large and innocent eyes.
Bryn shrugged. "Hm. Yeah, I agree. We probably need more visuals, too. It's only wednesday, so I think we're already doing pretty well. Still, we should still do research."
ReplyDeleteClose behind them, Damien was walking with Devin. The Eagletalon was staring at Shiina's long locks of black hair longingly, ignoring Devin rolling his eyes.
Knapp gave Tsutoko a look, and picked him up, narrowing her eyes. Why was there a kitten in the school? She supposed it was okay, but she should still... Knapp gave it a bugging spell and placed it back on the ground, turning and marching away.
Shiina nodded. "You wanna head for the library? We have free period now, anyways."

Tsutoko mewed for a moment, then rushed away, running through the grounds and acting like a normal kitten.
Damien returned the punch. "It's not like you don't stare at Bryn in the same way, pedophile," he smirked.
ReplyDeleteKasumi smiled as she heard Shiina. She'd have to keep tabs on that girl. She cast the same spell on Devin and Damien; it would be easier for Krumiage to manipulate the two afterwards.

Tsutoko rambled through the castle, looking like a lost kitten, until John Smith scooped him up, heading in the opposite direction from Shiina and Bryn. "Hello, ladies," he said as he walked up to them, stroking the kitten.
Damien raised an eyebrow. "Well, should I be used to you and Bryn? You only flirt. You've never been so obsessed with somebody- much less be in a relationship."

Devin shrugged. "I didn't say you weren't used to us. But who cares. What do you want to do?"

Kasumi cursed as she heard her husband being taken into custody. She didn't know whether they'd be found out... she quickly sent a message to Fallera and Daniel about it.

He turned and walked toward Knapp's office. When out of view, he disappeared and appeared on the other side of the school. "You'd better not get caught again," Krumiage warned his friend, and disappeared.

Tsutoko bared his teeth at nothing. "Well, I'm only good with animals," he hissed, racing forward.

Mapps looked up at the sound of swishing robes, but shrugged it off and continued teaching.

Daniel rolled his eyes at Kasumi and Tsutoko, changing into himself in the infirmary as well. "Stop fighting, guys," the alchemist scolded through thought, even if Kasumi was right beside him.

Fallera arrived, crouching down next to the small kitten. "Dimitte," she thought, and waved her wand. The spell was lifted, and the cat swiftly shifted back into a human. "Well," Tsutoko said, padding over to stand next to Kasumi. "What now?"
Kasumi planted a little kiss on her husband's lips and looked at the others.

ReplyDeleteKasumi soared out of the infirmary after her, finally stopping outisde a classroom. She called Fallera over and the two went around then perched on the windowsill, Kasumi transforming into a moth as to not be seen.
Daniel landed on the ceiling of Professor Yamamoto's office, trying to read his work and listening to him talk.

Kasumi moved quickly across and onto Mapps' chair, but the man suddenly sat up and looked around, scooting his chair back, sensing a presence. Kasumi made a little gecko squeak, and tried her best to hold on.

Bryn suddenly realized. "Shiina, stand still for a moment." She waved her wand, and there was a loud snap. The bugging spell disappeared. "Dammit, we were bugged!"

Shiina glared. "Something near!" she hissed, pulling Bryn down as a very small arrow flew where their heads had just been.

Bryn looked curious and interested. "That was a small arrow," she commented. "I wonder why they have one like that? It would never cause enough damage. It must be built for speed. A warning arrow, perhaps? Unless it had poison on it. Hm. We need to know." Bryn searched around and found the arrow lying three meters away. She examined it, and made a little white mouse taste the tip. It ran away. "Huh. It's a warning arrow. It knew it wouldn't hit us. That means they're accurate enough to do that."

ReplyDeleteBryn kept her eyes on the little contraption which fired arrows at them. "Keep an eye around us," she whispered to Shiina, moving quietly to the other side of the little "room" and looked up at the spell-triggered crossbow and raised her wand to it. "Confringo," Bryn muttered, and the tiny contraption exploded in a ball of flame. There was a dull thump of a body falling and a scuffle on the ground. Bryn whipped around and growled "Furnunculus" at the spot where she heard the noise, and Daniel appeared, clutching at his boil-covered face.
Shiina narrowed her eyes as she looked at the man's face, wondering if any of the others were around. Her eyes quickly scanned around the room and she dodged another arrow. "Are you the only one here?" she asked, but of course, not expecting an answer from him. The man only smirked, and healed himself with a flick of his wand, standing up to his full height.
ReplyDeleteA spell shot through the air and hit Bryn in the shoulder, who frowned and shot a spell in that direction. Tsukoto matieralized, groaning, nursing his hurt arm and then healing it easily.
ReplyDeleteShiina quickly rushed in Bryn's direction, shooting spells and throwing small, poisoned needles at the man. Hardly any of them hit, mostly because of his protective spells, but a few found their mark and he staggered.
ReplyDeleteShiina's father used a spell Fallera had invented and healed the two of them instantly with a wave of his wand. "If he keeps doing that we'll never get out of here, goddammit!" Bryn growled, shooting a Full Body-Bind curse at Daniel, who smiled at her and deflected it easily.

ReplyDelete"Well, there's the Geminio Curse but I'm not sure it works on people," Bryn answered back, just as quietly. "Excelsiosempra," she shot at Tsukoto, who uttered the only counterspell Accio right when it was about to hit him.

ReplyDeleteBryn nodded, and flicked her wand at Shiina. A ghostly, translucent copy of the black-haired girl stepped out of her and stared blankly ahead of her. It flickered into and out of view. Bryn frowned. "Will that work?" She murmured to Shiina, using the Confundus Charm to to make the copy spin in a circle and open its mouth.

ReplyDeleteShiina looked at the copy. "I guess," she said. "So...." The blue haired girl jumped up in the air so high that her head hit the ceiling and she crashed back down to the floor. "That was fun." Shiina proceeded to do the same move several more times. (<----- JK all of that, it was just for the sake of making this comment look long :D)

ReplyDeleteBryn pointed her wand at the copy, who glowed for a bit before becoming a bit more solid and alike the real Shiina before zooming forward and charging at the Daniel who, in the dark, thought it was the actual Shiina and quickly threw up a shield. She ran right through it.
"It's like a ragdoll and unanimated, so we have to control them instead of letting them fight themselves," Bryn whispered as Shiina made a copy of the amber-eyed girl herself. The fake Bryn skipped in a circle before growing more opaque and running at Tsukoto.
Shiina nodded, aiming her wand at the copy of herself as it punched Daniel's face several times. Daniel was trying to block them, but the punches were coming to fast, and each one knocked the breath out of him. "Dammit!" he yelled, looking over at Tsukoto.
ReplyDelete"Run!" Bryn screamed, and shot several curses at the evil parents as the copy of herself tackled Tsukoto. Shiina was right after her, sending a well-placed hex at Daniel. Bryn sprinted out of the temple safely, and when her companion emerged she performed a made-up spell: "Caudexis!" She roared, and Daniel slammed into an invisible wall, falling to the ground. Bryn grabbed Shiina's arm and twisted on the spot, apparating to Colema.

Daniel watched hopelessly as the two girls disappeared, his legs and arms bound to his body with strong string that cut through his flesh whenever he moved. Growling, he tried once again to break them, but with no success. "Fallera's not going to be happy," he grumbled.
ReplyDelete"Hell yeah, I'm not happy," came a feminine growl behind them. "Two extremely powerful dark wizards... could not beat two seventeen year olds?" Fallera slashed her wand through the air and Daniel's bonds disappeared. Tsukoto was healed and he stumbled against the wall. Kasumi was behind Fallera, glaring coldly at her husband. "You're an alchemist!" Fallera shrieked at Daniel. "And you're an animagus- no, you're a shapeshifter! Does that mean nothing?" Fallera turned on Tsukoto, amber eyes glowing with fury.

"What are they, exactly?" Fallera asked after a lengthy lull in the conversation, tightly because she was still frustrated.
ReplyDeleteKasumi rolled her eyes. "We don't even know our own goddamn children's weaknesses."
"We need to find them out," Fallera decided. "Krumiage can finally be of some use again."
"Well, there's Shiina's Sight that will eventually kill her. Couldn't we use some kind of spell that makes her overuse her power?" Tsukoto remarked.
ReplyDeleteDaniel grunted. "And with Shiina gone, Bryn would go into a rage. You must know how overprotective she is of her friends, right? Her anger will blind her and hinder her actions. Heck, we could even take that boyfriend of hers as a hostage."
Fallera held up a finger, eyes bright. "Dan's right!" she exclaimed. "The boyfriend... didn't Shiina have someone, too? That's their weakness-- they care for each other, and we don't. No offense," she added with a smirk.
ReplyDeleteKasumi raised a perfect dark eyebrow. "Well, we can't be too sure of ourselves," she said, folding her delicate hands. "Like you said, Krumiage could be of help in this situation."
Daniel nodded. "It's finally time for Krumiage to do something of use. "Shall we go confront him?"
ReplyDelete"Perhaps we should wait a while," Tsukoto remarked. "Seeing as how we just fought Shiina and Bryn, they may be very wary at the moment."
[Daniel nods a lot. I bet his head is gonna fall off soon.]
[He should probably alchemise a headgear of sorts.]
ReplyDelete"That's true," Kasumi conceded. "I suppose we should regroup and train up to our usual standards again," she added with a glare at the men.
Fallera nodded in agreement. "Checking in with Krumiage would probably be useful, though," she said. "After all, he does have almost all the inside information."
Tsukoto looked down in shame, his eyes downcast. Daniel grunted once more. "Tsukoto and I might need a little extra training," he admitted. "While we do that, Fallera and Kasumi can go find Krumiage."
ReplyDelete"Or we could just send him a patronus," Fallera rolled her eyes, taking out her wand. "Expecto patronum," she said clearly, and a silver serpent erupted out of the end of her wand. "When he's alone, tell him to meet us at the Obsidian Wood," she instructed the snake. She turned to the others. "We need to change base; they know where our Ruma one is already."
ReplyDeleteTsukoto nodded. "Let's move to the Obsidian Wood now. Bryn and Shiina might come back at any time." With those words, he promptly changed into an owl and flew with a powerful flap of his wings.
ReplyDeleteDaniel looked at his wife, kissing her cheek lightly. "Let's go, darling," he said, turning himself into a mouse and scampering off into the distance.
Kasumi disapparated with a crack and Fallera, smiling after Daniel, did the same.
