The Dracoslyther Common Room is in the Dungeons, or pretty much the basement of Lyreade Castle. Its entrance is obvious but intimidating, with huge metal barbed gates and a basilisk guarding it on each side. The password is to be written on a piece of paper then put into one of the two basilisks' mouth, which is when the gates will require proof of your pure blood. You will have to drip a drop of your blood onto the emerald amulet in the center of the gates. Most students keep a bit of their blood in a bag and give some of it to the gate so they don't have to cut themselves every time they go to their rooms. Don't worry, when you leave, the basilisk will give your piece of paper back to you.
DRACOSLYTHER:
We are purebloods, and we are proud to be. We are skilled in combat, and though people say that we are evil and not to be trusted, we are still good students. Our mascot is the basilisk. We were founded by Basilico Dracoslyther.
Shiina entered the room with a mysterious bottle in her hand. After coming back down from the dorms, she headed off to the Newt Cafe.
ReplyDeleteAbout 30 minutes later, Shiina re-entered and walked up to the dorms.
ReplyDeleteShiina came back the next day, looking weary, and walked back up to the dorms.
ReplyDeleteShiina came into the room holding a bunch of books and went upstairs.
ReplyDeleteShiina walked up to one of the tables and sat down, placing a few onigiri and a bowl of miso soup onto it. While she ate, she thought for a while. "Maybe I should visit Yamamoto later," she thought.
ReplyDeleteShiina walked into the common room, looking slightly confused, and went up to the dorms.
ReplyDeleteShiina walked into the common room once more, and sat down on the edge of a chair. Yuzuru flapped over and settled on the arm of the chair. The young girl sighed and tried to think, but her thoughts were full of Damien and the strange encounter at the lake. "Baka baka baka baka baka," she muttered under her breath, slamming her fist against her forehead.
ReplyDeleteGwen looked up silently from where she sat curled in an armchair next to the fireplace. What was Shiina thinking about? Did it have something to do with the prophecy? Did Krumiage know? She shuddered inwardly, thinking about how deadly a poison was the liquid that Krumiage intended to give to the seer and the spellcaster. She knew it was wrong, but what could she do to stop it? If she forcefully stopped him, she would never win and would be killed instantly. If Gwen tried to not give it to Shiina and Bryn, she would be found out and then killed instantly. Either way, she would die.
ReplyDeleteShiina stopped and looked up, her eyes narrowing. Yuzuru flapped wildy beside her. She placed her hand on his small body and he stopped.
ReplyDeleteGwen stared right back at Shiina calmly, her black eyes boring into her red eyes.
ReplyDeleteShiina looked back at the other girl. "......." Yuzuru twisted out of her grasp and flapped away.
ReplyDeleteGwen narrowed her eyes. "Who're you calling idiot?"
ReplyDeleteShiina ignored her and stood up. "Nothing to do with you," she muttered as she started towards the dorms.
ReplyDeleteGwen narrowed her eyes even further so they looked like black slits. "And you shouldn't call people idiots."
ReplyDeleteShiina turned to glare at her house mate one more time and fled up the stairs.
ReplyDeleteGwen rolled her eyes and stood up to leave to talk to Krumiage.
ReplyDeleteShiina appeared in the common room and sat down in her usual chair, Yuzuru flapping down to rest on the arm of the chair.
ReplyDeleteShiina leaned backwards into the chair, closing her eyes.
ReplyDelete(o.o i just had a vision of krumiage trying to force-feed the potion to shiina. errrk)
Henry sits infront of the fire place reading 'How to raise Ashwinders' the flames of the fireplace shining in his teal eyes.
ReplyDeleteShiina walked into the room and put her things down. Yuzuru flapped down and settled on her books.
ReplyDeleteHenry sighs thinking "What to do? What to do?"
ReplyDeleteHenry hears Shiina and turns towards her.
ReplyDeleteHenry says "Hello my name is Henry Hannelow. What is yours?"
ReplyDelete(Wait there's gonna be a new student post up soon do you just want to comment on there later when it's up?)
ReplyDeleteHenry seats at the fireplace reading 'A guide to Ashwinders'. The flames reflecting in his teal eyes.
ReplyDeleteHe thinks "Maybe the library has a book on animagi..." but just sighs and stays seated.
ReplyDeleteShiina looked over at Henry. "...." She silently watched him think.
ReplyDeleteHenry flips the page of his book, puts the bookmark onto that page and puts it down.
ReplyDeleteHenry stands up now just noticing Shiina and with a warm smile says "Hello, as you know I am Henry Hannelow. Whaat is your name?"
ReplyDelete(*what)
ReplyDeleteShiina looked at the new boy with cold eyes, her usual stare, and said, "Natsumoto" quietly, not bothering to give the new boy her first name.
ReplyDeleteHenry smirks with his familar on his shoulder and says "A pleasure."
ReplyDeleteShiina rolled her eyes and took out an old piece of parchment, her eyes scanning it quickly.
ReplyDeleteHenry says "Did you see the reaction of the first year? She ran off crying for no reason...or was there a reason?"
ReplyDeleteHe just sits down pondering about the first year crying.
ReplyDeleteHenry opens the book to the page he bookmarked and reads to himself.
ReplyDeleteAfter a few hours he bookmarks the new page and walks off to the library.
ReplyDeleteAria, curled up in a couch, watched Shiina with narrowed eyes. Why did she get the feeling that she knew this girl from somewhere?
ReplyDeleteShiina felt a gaze on her but ignored it, staring at the parchment harder.
ReplyDelete"Why are you glaring at the parchment, Head of House?" Aria asked of Shiina quietly, a small bit of mock in her voice.
ReplyDeleteShiina turned her head wearily to look at the other girl. She didn't feel like talking, so she didn't. But as her eyes cast back down on the small bit of parchment, her heard wrenched.
ReplyDeleteUngrateful child,
You need to come back to us. Taki is no longer need in our family.
So much for a loving family.
(...)
*needed
ReplyDeleteAria continued staring at Shiina with obsidian black eyes, looking as innocent as she could. "Fa-- I was told you were in the prophecy," she said just as quietly, slipping on purpose.
ReplyDeleteShiina glared at the other girl for a moment, then said, "it has nothing to do with you," even though the young seer knew whether or not this girl was involved with the prophecy.
ReplyDelete"Are you sure, Natsumoto? Are you certain you don't know me from somewhere?" For some reason Aria felt compelled to say this. Whether she just wanted to get on Shiina's nerves or if something was possessing her to say it, she wasn't sure. Either way, she went along with it.
ReplyDeleteShiina sighed, and looked at Aria, quickly deciding on what to tell the other girl. "Who are you? If I asked you that, you'd probably say Aria Guinevere Drace. But you are more than just Aria. You are the reincarnation of Gwen Black, the one who betrayed us all but then died for my sake just the other day. You may be unsure of your role in all of this, but all will be made clear in the meantime." She paused, suddenly unsure of what to say. "....."
ReplyDeleteAria just stared right back at her elder, her face and eyes expressionless as she nearly always kept it. "I knew you'd eventually find out. Either that, or Farwill told you. You're not surprised, are you? WIth the things that's been going on, I'd wager you're just annoyed that there are more things happening than you'd like there to be."
ReplyDeleteShiina shrugged slightly. "Time keeps on going," she said. "We're just here to be controlled by it."
ReplyDeleteSuddenly Aria's face was contorted by fierce anger. "Is that really what you think, Shiina? Are you really that deceived? What do you think the prophecy is for? To stop destiny and point it in another direction! What do you think Gwen died for? She was supposed to kill you and Bryn, but she sacrificed herself for both of you! Do you think Gwen died because some stupid God wanted her to? Do you think that I'm supposed to follow her path too? Do you think that I actually want to die? " Aria spat mercilessly at the Head of House, black fire in her eyes.
ReplyDelete"No! For your information, I don't want to die, and I will keep fighting fate until I get what I want! That's the only thing I"m fighting for, Shiina!" Aria's eyes narrowed and she leaned forward in her chair, tense and stiff. She no longer looked like an innocent 3rd Year, but the replica of an angry, murdering Gwen.
ReplyDelete(I forgot to add this last part on...)
Shiina looked at the other girl, eyes dulled. "Who knows what this world is? Your imagination? Some people don't care, Gwe-Aria. I'll fight, all right, but it's not like the stones will be turned. Kasumi will still be the same, as for the other four. And we'll loose."
ReplyDelete(...)
Aria just shook her head disbelievingly. "You really have no faith in yourself, do you? No wonder Gwen hated you. You say you're strong, but you're just weak." She gave Shiina a look of disappointment. "And I thought you were somebody to look up to." She turned and walked back up the stairs, her bookbag slung over her shoulder.
ReplyDeleteShiina narrowed her eyes as the younger girl left. I'm strong? She thought bitterly as thoughts coursed through her mind. I've never said that before. Because I'm not. What....
ReplyDeleteHenry walks back into the Common Room with a book on Animagi.
ReplyDeleteShiina was sitting in her usual chair, polishing Yuzuru's beak and talons with a cloth.
ReplyDeleteSuddenly a patronus appeared in the room, a raven. "Hey, Shiina, it's Damien. I'm right outside and I don't have pure blood or the password and the basilisks are trying to bite my hand off so can you get out here? Please?"
ReplyDeleteShiina closed her eyes and put down the cloth. She started for the entrance, Yuzuru flapping behind her. Shiina opened the door and shooed the basilisks away, Yuzuru landing on her extended arm. "What?"
ReplyDelete(XD BRYN BRYN BRYN)
(lol)
ReplyDeleteDamien smiled at her. "Just coming to say bye. I'm leaving at 6 tomorrow morning with Devin, and I wanted to see you before I leave." He pulled her into his arms and gave her a kiss. "How are you?"
"Good," she replied, Yuzuru flapping wildly. She broke apart with him for a moment to set him on the ground and narrowed her eyes. "B-be careful," she said.
ReplyDelete"I will. I'll be careful so I can see you again," he couldn't resist adding, giving Shiina a cheesy grin. "Sorry, that was stupid," Damien frowned, looking down at Yuzuru.
ReplyDeleteShiina shook her head. "That doesn't matter," she said to him. "..why are you looking at Yuzuru?"
ReplyDeleteHe shrugged. "Not sure. Were you just polishing him or something? His beak looks kind of... shiny." He'd never heard of polishing birds before. Damien looked up at Shiina, curious.
ReplyDeleteShiina shrugged. "He looks better that way. Don't you think?"
ReplyDeleteDamien shrugged as well. "I guess." He looked back at her. "So what were you doing? Homework?" He made a face. "Ugh, I've like three weeks of homework to catch up on after I get back," he grumbled.
ReplyDeleteShiina slowly patted his head. "Doesn't matter," she said. "Aren't you smart enough?"
ReplyDeleteDamien looked at her despairingly. "No matter how smart you are you can get three weeks of heavy Farwill homework done in three days!" He groaned, leaning against the wall which only triggered a vicious snarl from the basilisk. He shot back up, slightly startled.
ReplyDeleteShiina glared at it and it quickly slithered away. "I'll help," she said. "Is that enough for you?"
ReplyDeleteDamien brightened up considerably. "Really?" He asked, more excited about spending time with her than actually doing the homework with her.
ReplyDeleteShiina nodded slowly. "But ONLY if you promise to fully concentrate and not to slack off."
ReplyDeleteDamien nodded. "Right. Right, of course. I'm in Eagletalon, I never slack off," he insisted.
ReplyDeleteShiina rolled her eyes. "Right," she said. "What were you thinking of just now?"
ReplyDelete"No. But it's true. I've never slacked in my life." Damien told her stubbornly. "I'm not slacking now."
ReplyDeleteShiina stuck out her tongue, a rare movement for the young seer. "Beh!" (..)
ReplyDelete(haha)
ReplyDeleteDamien grinned at her. "That's cute."
Shiina looked at Damien. "So...." she said, then whipped something out of her pocket and pressed it into his right hand. "Take this," she said. "It protected me when I traveled to this school, and I want it to protect you as well."
ReplyDelete(what is it?)
ReplyDeleteDamien held her gaze for a moment longer, then glanced down at the intricate object in his palm. "What does it mean?"
(An omamori. You can pick the color :D)
ReplyDeleteShiina looked at him. "Idiot," she said. "It says 'kotsu anzen', to ensure travelers' safety on the road."
(You know what color I'll pick.... XD)
ReplyDeleteDamien rolled his eyes at Shiina, his hand still clenching the black amulet. "I know that, I can read Japanese. I meant... what does it mean... to you?"
(No....I don't :D)
ReplyDeleteShiina gave the other boy a look. "....my father gave it to me," she said. "Before he turned....bad. When I had a particularly tricky mission." Her look suddenly turned hard. "That's all."
(BLAAAAAACCKKKKK!)
ReplyDeleteDamien's eyes softened, and he placed the omamori into his pocket. "Come here," he told her, holding out his arms.
(A black omamori???? o.o)
ReplyDeleteShiina stepped towards him and leaned her head onto his chest.
(YUP!!!!!!!)
ReplyDeleteDamien wrapped his arms around her. "Thanks," he said quietly, his voice muffled by her hair.
Shiina shook her head. "I didn't do anything," she said. "You're the one to be thanked."
ReplyDeleteDamien shook his head back at her. "You never have to thank me for anything," he told her firmly. "I'll bring back Taki, even if it kills me. Then I'll force Devin to bring him back to you," he added, grinning slightly.
ReplyDelete(then their heads fell off, due to an overload of head-shaking. lol jk)
(eep.)
ReplyDeleteShiina shook her head. "You can't die," she said. "Don't even joke about it. Don't-" she broke off and stared off into space.
(ha)
ReplyDeleteDamien smiled gently and kissed her full on the mouth before she could say anything.
Shiina closed her eyes and wrapped her arms around him. "You can't," she said one more time. "Don't."
ReplyDelete(LOL nana.)
(LOL)
ReplyDelete"I won't," Damien returned softly, looking down into her red eyes. "I won't die. How can I properly fight for you then?"
Shiina looked up at them, and for the first time, had a strong sense of trust. Her eyes widened as she stared into his own. "I-I don't need you to fight for me," she stammered.
ReplyDelete"I want to," Damien replied simply, and held her tighter. "I love you."
ReplyDelete(OOOOOOOO)
Shiina held him tighter as well. "But you don't have to," she said stubbornly, looking up at him with a look of determination.
ReplyDelete"I don't care," Damien responded, kissing her nose quickly. "I don't give a damn."
ReplyDeleteShiina continued to look up at him, still as stubborn as ever. "I care," she said.
ReplyDelete"You can care about whatever you want but I love you and I'm never letting go," Damien told her resolutely.
ReplyDeleteShiina reached up and smacked him lightly on the head. "Fine," she said, FINALLY.
ReplyDeleteDamien grinned. "I win," he crowed, kissing her again, a light peck on the lips.
ReplyDeleteShiina looked away. "W-what ever," she said. "It doesn't matter."
ReplyDeleteDamien grinned wider. "Yeah it does," he argued, frustrating her.
ReplyDeleteShiina became her normal glaring self again. "No, it doesn't."
ReplyDelete"Yup. It does." Damien shot back quickly, playfully twirling Shiina's hair with a finger.
ReplyDeleteShiina was getting mad. You could tell. A faint black outline was surrounding her, and her eyes were lowered, eyebrows slowly making their way down her face. (That sounds weird.)
ReplyDelete(lol)
ReplyDeleteDamien grinned down at her. "Calm down, Shiina. Everything about you matters to me, and that's that."
Shiina relaxed, the black outline still surrounding her slightly. "Whatever," she said. "You should go rest...."
ReplyDelete"For tomorrow," Damien sighed, letting her go reluctantly. "Yeah." He turned to go, then swiveled back around. "I'll miss you. A lot."
ReplyDeleteShiina could feel her eyes grow hot, so she turned around. "Me-me too," she said, her voice cracking, then she raced into the common room, not bothering to look behind her.
ReplyDeletePUBERTY
(haha)
ReplyDeleteDamien stared after her for another minute, then sighed, turning back around and walking off by himself, head down.
(that's kinda sad... lol)
