A prophecy...

Farwill had fallen asleep, dreading what she would see. She opened her eyes again, finding herself surrounded in a bluish-white mist. "Is it a prophecy?" She asked, her voice clear and unafraid. She had been here before. Last time she was here - which was 10 years ago - she had received a prophecy as well. There was silence. Then:
"An ancient pact,
A deadly act.
The fall of the city
Is by revenge,
Not pity.
For blood will be spilled
If blood is not killed.
Remember those words, seer, for they are the fate of the wizarding world." The voice drifted off, and Farwill was left straining for more words. As an experienced one with the Inner Eye, Farwill knew what most of it meant. With a flash of bright light, Farwill was suddenly awake, tired, with all her energy gone from her. "A great prophecy is beginning, Fortis, and it will begin tomorrow, when the new year is beginning. Lyreade is in grave danger," she murmured to her bobcat, sighing.

Teacher's Dorms

Here are the teacher's dorms, though some teachers prefer to sleep in their office so that they may do work as soon as they wake up. There are two dorms, one for males and one for females. (Well duh!)

More New People

Knapp stood at the podium with her arms spread wide. "Greetings, people of Lyreade! My apologies for the unexpected announcement, but we have several new students and teachers joining a little late this year.
Teacher is:

Students are:

Please welcome them all!" Knapp smiled as her students and teachers applauded. "Have a delicious and magnificent dinner!" Then, she stepped down and sat at her table.

Smith's Office

This is Smith's office. It is very neat and tidy. Does he ever use it....?

Farwill's Office

This is Farwill's office. There are many shelves of books, plus a worn out couch in the corner with a blanket and a pillow on it. There is hazelnut coffee instant powder, and two mugs. There is also a frozen beef casserole pack on top of a strange machine, white in the shape of a box, with a handle and buttons on the side of it. It appears to be what the Muggles call a 'microwave'.

Yamamoto's Office

This is Yamamoto's office. The floor is scattered with paper and books. Where on earth does this guy sleep?

Corwyth's Office

This is the office of Professor Corwyth, the Potions Master. The overall mood of the room is warm, with many dark red and brown tapestries hanging on the walls. There is a fireplace that is always lit, and around it sit a two seater and two one seaters. A shelf full of bottles of butterbeer, firewhisky, and the occasional mead.

To the far side of the room is Professor Corwyth's work area. There is a large, mahogany desk with a brightly iluminated lamp, and a stack of papers. A comfortable armchair is stationed behind the desk. Behind his work area lies a secret that nobody knows but him...

Mapps' Office

This is Professor Mapps' Office. There are many detectors, bottles of firewhisky and butterbeer, singed tables, and shelves of books. All in all, it is very messy.

Ruma

The ancient ruins of what used to be a great city. Located just outside of Colema, the town next to Lyreade. People say that it is haunted by the ghosts that were murdered and slaughtered at the fall of this city.

Room of Mysteries

Rather like the Room of Requirement in Lyreade's brother school, Hogwarts. It only appears and opens to those who really desire it at the moment. It is on the eighth floor, which is also the top floor. It is on the opposite of the floor from the Wyvernlor Common Room. 9 levels below it is the Dracoslyther Common Room.

The Courtyard and Entrance Hall

The Courtyard is right outside the Entrance Hall. It is large and square, with a beautiful fountain in the center. The main gates leads to this courtyard. Most of the students come here in their free time.

New People

"Welcome to a new year at Lyreade School of Wizardry and Witchcraft!" Professor Knapp held her arms out wide over the speaking podium. The magical candles glittered overhead. "We have many students and teachers joining us this year. Welcome the new teachers:
Peter Bryan Mapps, teaching Defense Against the Dark Arts!
Vincent Porphyrius Corwyth, teaching Potions!
Selena Hamilia Farwill, teaching Charms!
John Smith, teaching Care for Magical Creatures!
And finally, Kazuki Yamamato, teaching Transfiguration!"

She waited for the cheers to die down, then she continued. "We also have four new students joining us!
Bryn Theia Reedwing, Year 6, Head of Wyvernlor House!
Shiina Masumoto, Year 6, Head of Dracoslyther House!
Gwendolyn Serena Black, Year 5, of Dracoslyther House!"
Devin Garrett Linke, Year 6, of Wyvernlor House!

Professor Knapp smiled down at everybody. "Before you begin your feast, let me remind you- follow all the rules, and listen to your superiors, or, I warn you," --here she gave everyone a malicious smile-- "The consequences may be severe." Her slightly mad tone lifted, and her face became gentle and soft once more. "Have a delicious feast, everybody! May the magic be ever in your favor!" With that she sat with the other teachers, said something down at her silver plate, and a bowl of beef noodles imported from Taiwan and a plate of bean-curd and gua bao appeared in the plate. Everyone else took this as a sign to begin eating; soon, there was not one person in the Hall that was not eating.

Back Field

This is the smaller field, with only one goalpost on each side. This is where students can hang out in their free time, and it is also where all the flying classes are held.

Quidditch Field

This is a large field, where the quidditch practices and matches are held. There are many bleachers and places for the crowd to sit. It is a typical quidditch field, with the three goals on each side.

Forest of the Unknown

This forest is full of dense undergrowth, plants, and deadly creatures. Students are generally not allowed here. The reason for its name is the many creatures that are still to be studied and discovered. It is extremely dangerous, and students without enough magical training could easily perish within its depths.

Death Lake

This is a freezing cold lake, with a dark magic in it that if you are in it for too long, your muscles and organs freeze, drowning and killing you. Inside are thousands of dark creatures, evils of all sorts.

Expelliarmus - Produces a jet of scarlet light. This spell is used to disarm another wizard, typically by causing the victim's wand to fly out of reach. This class is not usually taken by those Year 3 and above, as this class is only for Beginner and Intermediate flyers.

Muggle Studies

This class is the everyday classroom, with 4 by 5 desks, two blackboards, a teacher's desk, and a closet for materials. There is also a projection screen, which can be snapped up and down. This class is taught by Professor Akai.

Care for Magical Creatures

This is held outside, where the stables and cages are, near the Forest of the Unknown. The classes are usually held in a large clearing at the edge of the Forest, but that may change depending on the creature the class is studying at that time. John Smith of Wyvernlor teaches this class.

Divination

Divination also has 4 by 5 desks, two blackboards, a teacher's desk, and a cabinet for supplies. In that cabinet, there are crystal balls, tea leaves, candles, and other divinatory materials. There is currently no Divination teacher.

Potions

The Potions class is held underground, near the Dracoslyther Common Room and underneath the Death Lake. There are four long tables, placed horizontally, instead of 4 rows of 5 desks. Underneath the tables are drawers and little shelves, in which are cauldrons, ladles, and space for your books. The Potions Master is Vincent Porphyrius Corwyth, who is in Penniluff.

Transfiguration

The transfiguration classroom is also pretty much a typical classroom, with 4 by 5 desks, two blackboards, and a teacher's desk. By the teacher's desk is a closet full of interesting things, from cups to liver to live animals. The Transfiguration teacher is Kazuki Yamamoto, of Dracoslyther House.

Charms

The classroom is also your typical, everyday classroom- 4 by 5 desks, two blackboards, and a teacher's desk. There are various objects to practice the charms on, and these are stored in a closet by the teacher's desk. There are also pillows, for when the students are doing more dangerous charms.

Dracoslyther Common Room

The common room for Dracoslyther is well furnished with rugs, tables, couches, love seats, and a fireplace. It is under the Death Lake. The main colors are green, silver, and gold.

The Dracoslyther Common Room is in the Dungeons, or pretty much the basement of Lyreade Castle. Its entrance is obvious but intimidating, with huge metal barbed gates and a basilisk guarding it on each side. The password is to be written on a piece of paper then put into one of the two basilisks' mouth, which is when the gates will require proof of your pure blood. You will have to drip a drop of your blood onto the emerald amulet in the center of the gates. Most students keep a bit of their blood in a bag and give some of it to the gate so they don't have to cut themselves every time they go to their rooms. Don't worry, when you leave, the basilisk will give your piece of paper back to you.

DRACOSLYTHER:
We are purebloods, and we are proud to be. We are skilled in combat, and though people say that we are evil and not to be trusted, we are still good students. Our mascot is the basilisk. We were founded by Basilico Dracoslyther.

Eagletalon Common Room

The common room for Eagletalon is well furnished with rugs, tables, couches, love seats, and a fireplace. The main colors are blue, silver, and black. It is on the fourth floor.

The entrance to the Eagletalon Common Room is simple but clever. It is but an array of ancient symbols behind a painting of a smiling owl, which you have to press in the correct order. The symbols will recognize your fingerprints and feel of your fingers to ensure that those who enter are really Eagletalon. After you press the buttons it will ask you a question, which you have to answer correctly before being allowed inside.

EAGLETALON:
We believe that knowledge is everything. We are talented and intelligent, but still fierce and will stand up for what is right. Our mascot is, perhaps surprisingly because of our name, the owl. We were founded by Minerva Eagletalon.

Penniluff Common Room

The Penniluff common room has an air of cozyness and warmth. It is beautifully furnished with a mighty ornate fireplace with an assortment of sofas sitting around it and a long coffee table. At the far end sits a few tables with sets of wizard chess sitting on them, and on the wall a large tapestry with the Penniluff mascot hangs. On either side are the staircases to the girl and boy dorms.
An assortment of paintings decorate the otherwise empty walls of the common room. The painting of the locksmith is where students get their keys to their own storage cabinets.
The Common Room is on the third floor. The entrance to the Common Room is a painting of the head of a boar. Its left eye is actually a hole, and all you have to do is to stick your key into it and it will open up.

PENNILUFF
Being the most laid-back house in Lyreade, many people automatically assume that Penniluff students are unskilled wizards and witches, which is not true. We are the house that boasts good attitude and sportsmanship. Founded by Polarus Penniluff in XXXX. Our mascot is the basset hound.

Penniluff Dorms

The Penniluff dorms are divided into two sections, one for girls and one for boys. The main colors are yellow, maroon, and black. Each section has 4 rooms, each one with 4 bed complexes. The beds are extra-long twin, with curtains to ensure privacy. There is a small, mahogany cabinet for storage of personal items beside each bed. (The keys to the cabinets can be found in the common room. Students are requested to ask the locksmith painting for their keys.). Each room has a fireplace with 2 maroon sofas and a yellow and maroon rug with the Penniluff symbol weaved onto it.

A renewing stock of butterbeers is hidden under the floor. (Courtesy to Polarus Penniluff)

Wyvernlor Common Room

The common room for Wyvernlor is well furnished with rugs, tables, couches, love seats, and a fireplace. The main colors are gold, red, and black. There are three staircases leading up to the teacher's dorms, the boys' dorms, and the girls' dorms.

It is quite grand and fit of a king - just as Wyvernlor likes it. However big it is, it is also quite well hidden. The entrance to the common room is disguised as a broom cabinet on the eighth floor of Lyreade. Above the door to the "broom cabinet" is a carving of a tiny wyvern only about one to one and a half square inches big. Whisper the password, which is currently "Archadne" at the moment, into the crack of the door and it will glow golden before returning to normal. Step inside and you will not find yourself in a small, dusty broom cabinet but a spacious and luxurious common room.

WYVERNLOR:
Brave, loyal, and strong to the very end. We may not follow all the rules, but will always do what is right- or at least, what we think is right. Their mascot is the wyvern. We were founded by Brian Wyvernlor.

Dracoslyther Dorms

There are two dorms, one for girls and one for boys. The main colors are green, silver, and gold. The beds are extra-long twin, with curtains to ensure privacy. There is a small lamp which provides light for nighttime reading.

Eagletalon Dorms

There are two dorms, one for the girls and one for the boys. The main colors are blue, black, and silver. They both have heaters, and the beds are extra-long twins. Each also ave curtains to ensure privacy, along with a nightstand, cabinet, and closet.

Wyvernlor Dorms

There are two dorms, one for girls and one for boys. The main colors are gold, red, and black. All the beds are XL Twin, with a cabinet and closet.

Deputy Headmaster's Office

This is where the Deputy Headmaster works and usually dwells. It is well furnished with a rug, a oak desk, and many lamps that light up the room. The Deputy Headmaster is William Flavius Krumiage, the Herbology teacher.

Deputy Headmaster/mistress' Quarters

This is where the Deputy Headmaster/mistress sleeps. Don't try to bother him/her either, and usually find him/her at his/her office.

Headmistress' Quarters

This is where the Headmistress sleeps. Try not to bother her too much, and only come here when it is urgent.

Headmistress' Office

The Headmistress, Rebecca Elizabeth Knapp, has her office here. This is where she works and usually spends her time. There is a large mahogany desk in the center with many bookcases lining the walls. Her desk is a little cluttered, but there is still some space on the desk. There is a staircase leading up to the office. The light, two candle lamps hung from the ceiling, are the only lights in the room, so the lighting is usually quite dim, but Rebecca likes it this way.
